Living Options

The right level of support, in a place that feels like home

Cambridge Manor offers Long-Term Care, Independent Living, and Home and Community Care. Our Community Relations Coordinator will happily talk you through what each option involves.

Understanding the options

Publicly funded Long-Term Care and Home and Community Care are arranged through Assisted Living and Social Services Alberta (ALSS), which looks after resident care assessments and places residents where space is available. Private Long-Term Care and Independent Living are arranged directly with us. Our Community Relations Coordinator will happily walk you through all available options and is glad to answer any questions, big and small.

Independent Living

Independent Living at Cambridge Manor offers private suites for residents who want to live life on their own terms, with daily meals, housekeeping, and a full activities calendar included. Should extra support ever be needed, Assisted Living Alberta’s Home and Community Care program can bring health and personal care right to a resident’s suite.

Home and Community Care

Home and Community Care is a publicly funded program that brings health and personal support directly to residents living independently at Cambridge Manor. Depending on what is needed, a nurse, social worker, or other health professional may visit for things like medication management or personal care, coordinated by a case manager. It offers residents extra support at home, without the need to move into Long-Term Care.

Long-Term Care

Long-Term Care, known provincially as Continuing Care Type A, provides 24-hour nursing support for residents with more complex medical needs, including a secure neighbourhood. Both publicly funded and private Long-Term Care are available at Cambridge Manor.

Memory Care

Our secure Memory Living neighbourhood is part of our publicly funded Long-Term Care at Cambridge Manor. It is designed for residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and similar conditions, with a care team trained to support them with a person-focused care philosophy.
