Long-Term Care at Cambridge Manor begins with the person. Every resident arrives with their own history, preferences, and opinions, and our team takes the time to get to know every resident as individuals. From medication management to support with daily activities, our care team provides 24-hour nursing support tailored to each resident, so families can rest easy knowing their loved one is in capable and caring hands.
Long-Term Care
Care that feels like home
Room to settle in
Long-Term Care, known provincially as Continuing Care Type A, is offered across several of our neighbourhoods, with a secure neighbourhood for residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and similar conditions. Care focuses on the person, not the task, with music, art, and sensory activities adapted so everyone can take part and continue to live joyful lives filled with purpose and meaning. Moving into Long-Term Care is a significant step, and we work to make the transition as gentle as we can. Residents are welcome to bring belongings that make the suite feel like home, and the cafe and courtyard give families somewhere welcoming to sit and visit. Both publicly funded and private Long-Term Care are available at Cambridge Manor. Publicly funded placement is arranged through Assisted Living and Social Services Alberta (ALSS), and our Community Relations Coordinator will happily walk you through all available options.
Partnering with families for better care
Family involvement is central to how we approach care at Cambridge Manor. We keep communication open, welcome families into care decisions, and make sure each resident’s preferences, history, and values are reflected in their care plan. Families are welcome at any time.
